Reviews io vs Trustpilot: what REVIEWS.io is and how the two compare

REVIEWS.io and Trustpilot both collect reviews, and both publish their prices. They differ on contracts, on who can leave a review and on what you pay for product reviews. This page sets out what each vendor says on its own pages, as of September 2026, for a health brand that already has a Trustpilot profile or is choosing one.

Short answer

REVIEWS.io, often searched as reviews io, is a review platform for online stores. It collects company and product reviews and publishes every plan price. Compared with Trustpilot, it offers month-to-month plans and includes product reviews. Trustpilot is an open platform where anyone can review you. Neither lets a business delete an honest bad review.

Key facts

What is reviews io?

People who search "reviews io" are looking for REVIEWS.io. It is a review collection tool for ecommerce brands. Its home page puts its pitch in one line: "Collect reviews. Get found by AI. Sell more."

It does four main jobs. It collects company reviews and product reviews. It gathers photos and videos from buyers. It shows reviews on your site through widgets. And it can send eligible reviews to Google for Seller Ratings, the stars beside your ads.

Everything below about REVIEWS.io comes from its own pages, read on 22 September 2026. Everything about Trustpilot comes from Trustpilot's own pages, read the same day. We covered REVIEWS.io more briefly in our guide to Trustpilot alternatives. This page goes further on the head-to-head.

How do the prices compare?

Both vendors publish a rate card, which is a point in favour of each.

REVIEWS.io's pricing page lists these plans.

REVIEWS.io planPriceReview invites
Free$025
Essentials$29 a monthUp to 300
Start-Up$99 a monthUp to 1,500
Grow$299 a monthUp to 5,000
Plus$499 a monthUp to 10,000

Those figures are the billed annually rates. The page says "Prices are displayed in USD". The copy we loaded also showed an AUD label next to each figure. So confirm the currency at checkout.

Trustpilot's pricing page lists its plans like this.

Trustpilot planPriceReview invitations
Free$050 a month
StarterFrom $99 a month100 a month
PlusFrom $319 a month300 a month
PremiumFrom $799 a month1,000 a month

Both price per domain. REVIEWS.io says each top-level domain is a separate subscription. Trustpilot quotes its paid plans per domain too. If you run one brand in the US and another in the UK, expect two bills on either platform.

Our Trustpilot pricing guide covers Trustpilot's terms in more depth.

How do the contracts differ?

This is the clearest gap between the two.

REVIEWS.io answers the question on its pricing page. It says all plans are month-to-month, and that an annual commitment saves 20%. The same page offers a contract buyout for brands still tied to another provider.

Trustpilot's pricing page says: "Our initial contract term is 12 months, prepaid."

REVIEWS.io also runs a Trustpilot comparison page. It makes claims about Trustpilot that are its own view as a competitor. Read it as marketing. For Trustpilot's actual terms, read Trustpilot's page.

What does each plan include?

The two vendors split features in different places.

On REVIEWS.io, product and company reviews start on Essentials, along with photo and video collection. Google Seller Ratings, rich snippets and review importing start on Start-Up. AI review summaries and competitor analysis start on Grow. API access and AI review replies arrive on Plus. That is all from its pricing page.

On Trustpilot, product reviews, location reviews and API access are each listed as add-ons on the pricing page. No price is published for them.

For a supplement or hair loss brand selling many products, that matters. Product reviews on product pages are what a lot of DTC teams are shopping for. On REVIEWS.io they sit inside the plan. On Trustpilot they are a conversation with sales.

Trustpilot's widgets are also tiered by plan. Our guide to the Trustpilot widget sets out which TrustBox each plan gets.

Who can leave a review on each platform?

This is the difference a health brand should weigh most.

Trustpilot is open. Its Guidelines for Businesses say: "Consumers decide which businesses are reviewed on our platform." Once someone writes a review, Trustpilot creates a profile to host it. You do not have to invite anyone for reviews to appear.

REVIEWS.io works mainly from invites. Its fake review policy says businesses send invitations to customers who have made a purchase. Those reviews carry a verified badge. The same policy says clients may turn an open review form on or off, but must not do so in bad faith.

Neither model is better in every case. An invite-led profile reflects your buyers. An open profile also hears from people who never bought, which cuts both ways.

Can a business remove reviews on either platform?

No. The shape of the rule is the same on both.

REVIEWS.io's fake review policy says clients cannot delete or hide reviews on their own. It says only REVIEWS.io can approve a permanent removal, and only for a breach of its policy. It adds that honest negative reviews are never removed.

Trustpilot's guidelines let a business flag a review for set reasons. They include harmful content, personal information, advertising, or no genuine experience. The guidelines say that not liking a star rating is not a valid reason to flag.

Both platforms also ask for fair invites. Trustpilot's guidelines say to invite everyone in the same way, whether their experience was good or bad. They also ban incentives such as discounts, promo codes or refunds tied to a review. Our guide to inviting only your happiest customers explains why filtering who gets asked is a risk.

What happens to your Trustpilot profile if you switch?

It stays. That is the part most switching plans miss.

Trustpilot's guidelines say it does not remove a business profile page or its reviews "unless we have to". So the old profile keeps its score and keeps ranking for your brand name. Our guide on deleting a Trustpilot profile covers why.

REVIEWS.io says on its pricing page that you can import reviews from platforms including Trustpilot. Trustpilot's guidelines say users may not copy and commercially exploit its data without permission. They also point businesses to its brand guidelines for showing reviews elsewhere. Get both vendors' answers in writing before you move any reviews.

Which should a DTC health brand pick?

We do not rank them. The right choice depends on things only you can see.

Four questions help.

  1. Where do your buyers look? Search your brand name and see which profile shows on page one.
  2. Do you need product reviews? REVIEWS.io includes them. Trustpilot sells them as an add-on.
  3. Can you commit for a year? Trustpilot's paid plans start with a 12-month prepaid term.
  4. What will you do with the profile you already have? If it is on Trustpilot, it stays.

Many brands end up running both. Trustpilot holds the public profile. A second tool handles product pages.

What about the 1-star reviews you already have?

A new platform does not touch them. The fix sits on the platform where they live.

Health brands see this sharply. A refund dispute or a pharmacy delay can read like a safety story in a 1-star review. Our telehealth page covers the patterns we see.

We remove 1-star reviews that break Trustpilot's or Google's own rules. We flag them through your account, the platform decides each case, and you pay per removal. Start with our free Trustpilot review audit, which shows which reviews may qualify and which will stay. The service itself is on our Trustpilot review removal page.
